These are also called agglomeratic or dark-zoned chondrules. They are sometimes considered to be porphyritic but they have not been heated as hot or for as long as that group. The fine mineral grains may be found surrounded by coarser grains of the same composition or surrounding larger, relict olivine grains. Some chondrules are dark because of the fineness of the particles and the presence of opaque matter, particularly toward the edges.
